Empowering EveryMind - Part-Time Neurodiversity Outreach Workers

We are looking for part-time Neurodiversity Outreach Workers to joing our team!

Since 2013, Empowering EveryMind (Inspire Community Outreach Inc.) has been dedicated to helping children and primary caregivers living with neurodevelopmental, social, emotional and behavioural differences to overcome barriers to family-centred, disability-informed mental health services and support.

Our vision is for all individuals and families living with neurodevelopmental differences to feel supported, empowered, and positively connected to their family and community. Our mission is to provide inclusive, disability-informed education, support and programming for individuals and families, and to collaborate with community partners to help people thrive.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO...

  • Has experience supporting children, youth and adults living with neurodevelopmental differences and their primary caregivers.
  • Has a degree or related education (social work, psychology, occupational therapy, etc.); this would be great for a student.
  • Is just as enthusiastic as us about neurodiversity and mental health across the lifespan and has a strong working knowledge in this area, and
  • Is a passionate advocate and community builder!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This contractor role will be part of our exciting, innovative projects with an ultimate goal of better supporting children, youth and families living with neurodevelopmental, social, emotional and behavioural differences who are ineligible for existing funded supports. You will play an important part in ensuring that our projects run smoothly and effectively, that we continually work within our vision and mission, and most importantly- that kids and families feel well supported and more equipped to manage life’s demands!

Services you will provide to children, youth and families include (but not limited to):

  • In-home and outreach-based child/youth direct support
  • Counselling and psychoeducation for the whole family
  • Parent/caregiver support programming
  • Service navigation, connection and referrals to community resources, promoting long-term success Advocacy (school, recreational programs, etc.)

DETAILS:

  • Pay range: $25-33/Hour
  • Start: December ‘25 or January ’26 Hours: Approx. 5-10 hours per week Job type: Contractor
  • Schedule: requires some flexibility (days, evenings and the occasional weekend); you will make your own schedule based on your availability and client needs!
  • Must be age 18+ and able to obtain clear adult and child abuse registry checks and a criminal record check (with vulnerable sector)
