BIOL 4602: Field Research in Ecological Energetics

Field component: Sandilands Forest Centre, July 19 – 28, 2017
– Learn to capture and observe free-living wild animals of a range of taxa (esp. bats and small mammals)
– Learn cutting-edge techniques in wildlife behaviour, ecology, physiology and conservation.
– Help co-author a real scientific paper! 4602 students have used field course data to publish a journal article every year the course has run.

Fall Component:
– This is officially a Fall 2017 course and registration will occur as for other fall courses.
– We meet occasionally during fall term to discuss data analysis and scientific writing.
