I am a Student - I need help with printing.

  • To find your printing password, log into your webmail account.
  • Do a search for the word “Printing”. You should find an email from printjob@uwinnipeg.ca that provides your printing password. (If your printing password starts with a “0”, you will most likely have to leave it out.)
  • When you open a document on any of University computers, and press “Print”, a box will pop up on the screen, asking for your student number and printing password.
  • After entering those two numbers and pressing Ok, the cost of that print job will be calculated and displayed onscreen. You will need to know whether or not you have enough money on your printing account.
  • In order to add money to, or check the balance of, your printing account, proceed to the pay station located in the Library circulation or Uplink Lab (4C32B). The system only accepts cash, from quarters (25₵), $1 and $2 dollar coins, to $5, $10 and $20 dollar bills. Any amount entered will remain in your account for as long as you are a student at University. Library Circulation can make change if you need small denominations.
  • Enter your student number, then Enter, then your printing password, then Enter, add the desired amount of cash. (If at first you get the message “Transaction Rejected”, try few more times)
  • Proceed to any of university printers, touch the screen, log in with your student number and printing password, and choose the “Follow-you” printing icon. After making sure that the print jobs you want to print are checked off, press Print to complete the process.
  • Log out by pressing the Logout button at the top right of the screen.

Students who still require assistance can contact the Service Desk either by phone (204 786-9149) or by email at servicedesk@uwinnipeg.ca
