"Celebrate You" Book Display

A selection of books by and about the 2SLGBTQIA+ community related to this year’s Pride theme, “Celebrate You,” will be on display in the Library.
"A Source of Spiritual Strength": 40 Years of the Niciwâkan Native Gay Society
May 25-August 31 | UWinnipeg Archives (Centennial Building, 5th Floor through the Library)
This exhibition will highlight records from the Two-Spirit Archives illustrating the history of the formation of the Niciwâkan Native Gay Society in 1986, and its role in advocating for the rights of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer people in Manitoba.

Two-Spirit/Indigiqueer Tea and Bannock Social

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Niciwâkan Native Gay Society, and the launch of the Archives’ exhibit, the University and external communities are invited to enjoy food, friendship, music, and a drag performance. RSVP encouraged.

Indigenous Makers Market

Several talented makers who identify as Two-Spirit or Indigiqueer will be on campus to sell their creations. From jewelry, beaded accessories, to paintings, drawings, and prints, to puzzles and home decor, there will be something for everyone's tastes and budget at the Market!
