Policy Office

The Policy Office leads the UWinnipeg Policy Framework which supports an evidence-informed and integrated approach to policy development and implementation.

This Framework ensures that all UWinnipeg policies are compliant with legislative and regulatory structures and congruent with innovative practices in the field of higher education.  All UWinnipeg policies are thoroughly researched, collaboratively drafted, approved, implemented, reviewed, and evaluated in consultation with our University Community.

The UWinnipeg Policy Framework is guided by the Policy Development and Administration Policy [PDF].

Please note that all new and revised policies are subject to approval by variously the Board of Regents, the Senate, or the Vice-Presidents and President Committee (VPP) depending on the subject matter of the policy.
