Ricky Harper

Rick Harper, an Anishininew from the Anishininew Nations in Northern Manitoba, has a 4-year Bachelor of Arts from Brandon University with a major in Native Studies. Before completing his BA, he attended the Assiniboine Community College studying Aboriginal Community Development and received a 2-year diploma with distinction honours. Along with the diploma, he received the Technical Aboriginal Economic Developer (TAED) designation from CANDO (Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers).

Rick Harper is currently pursuing his Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) at the University of Winnipeg. He is looking forward to using the skills he will gain to helping Indigenous communities within Manitoba and beyond. With a personal philosophy, “I go where the day takes me," it has taken him on quite the journey.
