Asper Centre for Theatre and Film

Extensive renovations were made to the concourse, main and second floors, including the addition of a two-storey annex on the south side of the building. New facilities include: two new acting studios, film studio, prop shop, six rehearsal rooms, office space, two film editing labs, film equipment check-out and storage, dimmer room, and a state-of-the-art flexible studio theatre (120-180 seats) with full green room facilities. The studio theatre is also used by the community including periodically during the Winnipeg International Fringe Fest.

 Work was completed on schedule for academic year 2008-09. The main entrance to the building is off Balmoral Street and is now flanked by the newly-created Babs Asper Lilac Garden.
