"In my experience, awards have allowed me to get the most out of my university experience. I can be a full-time student, focusing on my studies and practicums and not on money, lessening the burden on my financial and mental health. In Education, we learn that we need to keep ourselves healthy physically and emotionally as teachers, so that we can better support our students. My scholarships have contributed so much to my peace of mind and allowed me to focus on my studies and on my students. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these gifts."

"I would like to take this opportunity to recognize our student award winners in the Faculty of Education for their exceptional accomplishments demonstrated during this past year.
"I would also like to acknowledge the incredible efforts that have contributed to their success during a time of unprecedented challenges. Prior to this year, it would be been difficult to predict the need for online learning in university classes. However, students in the Faculty of Education quickly adapted to these changes and continue to navigate transitions demanded by the pandemic.
"As a result, it is especially important to thank friends and family who supported our students in their homes, which have now become shared learning spaces. Thank you to the students who have contributed to maintaining employment as frontline support to Manitobans. Many of you have taken on roles to assist and also support school divisions with the immense strain of the pandemic."
