Graduation Ceremony 2018

Friday, May 25th was a very special day for all of us here at UIC as we hosted our graduation ceremony to honour the students who have completed the requirements for a Certificate in Urban and Inner City Studies / Community Advocacy and also to honour students who are graduating this year with 4 and 3-year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban and Inner-City Studies. This year's celebration was very special as it was our first celebration in our new space and we had 6 students who graduated with our certificate programs and 8 students with their degrees.
We are thankful to our Elder, Calvin Pompana for all his blessings and UIC student and certificate grad Lisa Strong for honoring the grads with traditional singing and drumming. Also, to Acting Dean of Arts Catherine Taylor, Acting Associate Dean of Arts Jaqueline McLeod Rogers, family, friends and funders who were able to come out and support us. Thank-you. Miigwetch
