New Privacy Policy

The University's Privacy Policy is now in effect. The Privacy Policy demonstrates the University's commitment to protecting the sensitive, private information it holds of its students, employees, and partners. It was created to enhance compliance with applicable privacy legislation and to promote good practice as regards the handling of personal information and personal health information.

To assist in implementing the Privacy Policy, the Information and Privacy Office has created Privacy Policy Explained, an overview of key Policy elements. The Privacy Policy may be viewed in full here.

Privacy Policy training sessions are offered on a monthly basis. In-department training is available on request. Online training through Nexus, the University's learning management system, is now also available. All University employees who may handle personal information or personal health information in the course of their association with the University are required to attend a training session or complete online training.

View the events calendar for upcoming training sessions and contact the Information and Privacy Officer to RSVP or to enroll in online training.
