Indigenous STEAM Summer Camp

Indigenous STEAM Camp is hosted over the summer on the University of Winnipeg campus and geared towards children and youth going into grades 1-6.

The camp is free, includes snacks/food, and includes activities from many different areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) as possible. Activities such as digital media creation (creating short videos), learning about special effects, introductory coding, engineering based activities like rocket building and launching, 3D design and printing, and a lot of other fun workshops are offered throughout each of the four weeks of camp

Indigenous knowledge keepers share traditional knowledge about many topics such as traditional medicines, star teachings, creation stories, traditional games, feasting ceremonies, water storage and more.
