The University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba are co-hosting the 23rd annual conference of the North American Society for the Study of Romanticism (NASSR).  The conference will explore how rights discourses of the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth centuries intersected with British, Transatlantic, and European Romanticism.  Keynote speakers include Dr. Joel Faflak of Western University and Dr. Nancy Yousef of CUNY, Baruch.  Bringing together an international cast of established and emerging scholars from a wide range of academic disciplines, the conference also features a “Museum Talk & Tour” at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) co-hosted by Clint Curle and Jodi Giesbrecht, and a special presentation at The Fort Garry Hotel on Aboriginal rights with Warren Cariou, Sherry Farrell Racette, Kevin Hutchings, and Niigaan Sinclair.

Information on the conference, including the call for papers and registration details, can be found on the NASSR 2015 website.
