Bob Silver (2009-2020)

Bob Silver was the seventh Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving with Presidents Dr. Axworthy and Dr. Trimbee. He is a prominent business leader, community developer, and philanthropist both locally and internationally.

H. Sanford Riley (2000-2009)

Sanford Riley was the sixth Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving three terms across the presidencies of Dr. Rooke, Dr. Deane, and Dr. Axworthy, and he was the founding Chairperson of the University of Winnipeg Foundation Board of Directors. His donations established the H. Sanford Riley Fellowships in Canadian History and the H. Sanford Riley Centre for Canadian History.

Carol Shields (1996-2000)

Carol Shields was the fifth Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving primarily with President Dr. Hanen. An internationally renowned and award-winning novelist, she was also a playwright, poet, literary critic, and English professor. The Carol Shields Writer-in-Residence program was established in her honour.

John A. Bulman (1984-1996)

John Bulman was the fourth Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving with Presidents Dr. Farquhar, Dr. McCormack, and Dr. Hanen. A successful businessman and community leader, his donations established the John Bulman Collegiate Scholarship and the Chancellor W. John A. Bulman Scholarship. He is commemorated by the Bulman Centre.

Roderick O.A. Hunter (1978-1984)

Roderick Hunter was the third Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving with Presidents Dr. Duckworth and Dr. Farquhar. He is honoured through the Roderick O.A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship.

Dr. Paul Henrik Thorbjorn Thorlakson (1969-1978)

Dr. Paul Thorlakson was the second Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, serving three terms across the presidencies of Dr. Lockhart and Dr. Duckworth. He was co-founder of what is now the Winnipeg Clinic, as well as surgeon-in-chief at the Winnipeg General Hospital and professor of surgery.

Richard Henry Gardyn Bonnycastle (1967-1969)

R.H.G. Bonnycastle was the first Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, while Dr. Lockhart was President. He was a lawyer, businessman, and founder/owner of Harlequin Enterprises.
