Accessibility Services
In collaboration with students, faculty, and staff at The University of Winnipeg, Accessibility Services (AS) and Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) facilitate and promote the ongoing development of an accessible learning environment which provides students with disabilities, mental health concerns, medical conditions and temporary injuries the opportunity to participate fully in all aspects of campus life.

Orientation for New Students
Are you starting University in Fall 2025? The Accessibility Services & Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Fall 2025 Orientation will take place on August 25, 2025 at 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM in room 2M73. Sign up now for the Accessibility Services Orientation.
University of Winnipeg created a new webpage for UW Accepted Students with steps and information on preparing for the first year. All incoming students are encouraged to visit the On My Way webpage.
The University of Winnipeg Library can help provide with any needed alternate format for your readings or literary materials. Please complete the Alternative Format Request form if you need an accessible copy of print items in the library. Location of Accessibility Services
AS and DHHS are located in room 1M35, the offices in the Northwest corner of Manitoba Hall on the main floor. The closest accessible pickup and drop-off point is the Ellice Avenue campus entrance (Lockhart Hall, which is just around the corner from our offices). View the Campus Accessibility Map.
