“The Flexible Major Program gave me the opportunity to explore the evolving field of brain imaging. The guidance I’ve received from my professors and degree advisors in blending courses has been indispensable.”

Flexible Major Program
Through the Flexible Major program, The University of Winnipeg provides you with the opportunity to customize your university studies in order to address your unique interests and goals.
An increasing number of students find interdisciplinary study rewarding. By expanding beyond “normal” major boundaries, courses are combined in creative, non-traditional ways, allowing you to organize a program of study that is both personally interesting and professionally relevant. With the assistance of a Faculty Sponsor and an Advisory Committee, you can design your own major related to a central theme or focus. Student-Designed Majors usually combine courses from three University departments.
This major can lead to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree (4-year or Honours).
Required High School Courses
You must have the required high school prerequisites for the departments in which you choose to study. Please see the Academic Calendar or the Fact Sheets for departments of interest to determine which high school courses will be required.
