Women's Memorial March of Manitoba

February 14 is the Annual Women’s Memorial March of Manitoba, in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2S+ relatives. The march will begin at 5 p.m. outside the Winnipeg Art Gallery (300 Memorial Blvd.).

The University of Winnipeg is committed to reconciliation and Indigenization, through maintaining relationships with Indigenous people, community, and organizations. UWinnipeg encourages the University community to show support and educate themselves on this day.

In addition, we encourage everyone to deepen their understanding by reading Reclaiming Power and Place: The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
