Celebrating Indigenous graduates

The University of Winnipeg is proud to celebrate all of our Indigenous graduates.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our annual Spring Pow Wow and Convocation ceremonies are postponed until the fall. However, the Aboriginal Student Services Centre spent June 24 – 26 hand-delivering gifts to a few lucky graduates to help celebrate their achievements.

First Nations’ students received a smudge bowl with the four sacred medicines, while Métis students received a colourful sash symbolizing pride in the Métis Nation.
