Call for Nominations: Arts Excellence in Research Award 2026

The Faculty of Arts Faculty Excellence in Research Award recognizes a singular achievement in the form of a single contribution in research or a creative activity during the past academic year (September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025): a book, an article, a paper, a poem, a play, etc. There will be one award, and recipients chosen by this committee can receive the award only once.
NOMINATION PROCEDURE
Nominators should send the completed nomination form and nomination letter in pdf form to the Faculty of Arts Office by March 13, 2026. Nomination letters must be no longer than 500 words and explain why the nominated work represents a singular achievement.
Once notified that they have been nominated, nominees should submit a copy of the work under consideration. Wherever possible, textual materials other than books should be submitted in pdf form (or if not a text, represented in some way, e.g., a playbill if a theatrical production, a video link if a documentary) by May 1, 2026.
Nominees should also submit a brief CV (no more than 5 pages) in pdf form representing their research portfolio for the last 6 years. Although the award is to be based on a single achievement, the CV will provide the award committee with context to help with decision-making.
Faculty members may be nominated by students, staff, or other faculty members, but may not self-nominate.
