Dr. Avrum N. Pollock

Furthuring the field of Pediatric Radiology

Dr. Avrum N. Pollock, an award-winning physician, graduated from The University of Winnipeg Collegiate in 1981, before completing a degree in medicine at the University of Manitoba and an internship at St. Boniface Hospital.

He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Toronto, as well as fellowships in Pediatric Radiology at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.

Pollock is a pediatric radiologist and neuroradiologist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also a clinical Professor of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches medical students, interns, residents and fellows in the field of Pediatric Radiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology.

Pollock has published numerous book chapters and abstracts on his research interests, which include pediatric stroke‚ hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy‚ child abuse‚ and radiation safety in children.

Pollock's expertise saw him earn the 1994-1995 Fellow-of-the-Year award from the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
