Please join us for the Wesmen Baseball "Wine & Dine World Tour" fundraising evening taking place on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

This inaugural event will be held at the Charleswood United Church hall, located at 4820 Roblin Boulevard, Winnipeg.
 

Event Details:

 
  • Wine tasting and food pairings featuring the countries of Italy, Germany, Argentina and France. Wine supplied through the Winehouse.
  • Menu created by Heather Porteous, co-owner of The Boulevard Pub & Bistro and contestant in Season 2 of Chopped Canada 2015
  • Master of Ceremonies - Radio personality, Ace Burpee from 103.1 Virgin Radio
  • Keynote Speaker - Stubby Clapp, the hero of Team Canada's baseball team during the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, and current hitting coach for the Toronto Blue Jays AA-affiliate, New Hampshire Fisher Cats
  • Event begins at 6:00 pm
  • Ticket price - $100/person
  • Raffle, auction and 50/50 draw
  • Opportunity to interact with the coaching staff, players and Stubby Clapp

Please note: The receipt from the purchase will serve as your ticket to the event.

Proceeds from the event will support the operating expenses of the Wesmen Men's Baseball team for the 2016/2017 season.  The Wesmen Baseball team is excited to be entering its second season as a member of  the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is 100% self-funded.  Please join us as we introduce ourselves to the baseball community in Manitoba and explain why the Wesmen Baseball Program is an excellent opportunity for our Canadian-born baseball players to continue to play the sport they love at the University level right here in Canada, while obtaining a quality education from the University of Winnipeg.

donation to the Wesmen Baseball Program, please follow these simple steps:

1) Go to https://donate.uwinnipeg.ca/
2) Go down the "Direct my gift to" and click button beside "A Faculty/Department, Project or Scholarship/Bursary
3) In first drop down menu go to Athletics
4) In second drop down menu go to Men's Baseball (right at top)
6) Enter Donor and Payment Information
7) Click Donate to finish
