IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SENIOR FILM STUDENTS

Please read this important notice about new developments in the Film stream:

THFM-3313 Advanced Picture Editing WILL NOT BE OFFERED THIS FALL/WINTER.

THFM-3310 Film II requirements have been adjusted and the submission deadline extended.

All UW courses offered in Fall 2020 (including those which carry over to Winter 2021) need to be adapted for online presentation.  It was determined it would not be possible to successfully deliver THFM-3313 Advanced Picture Editing remotely, so it has been postponed until in-person instruction is again available.  We are currently planning to offer this course in Spring 2021.

Those students who had planned to take Advanced Picture Editing to complete their Major requirements for graduation in June 2021 may now want to take THFM-3310 Film II.

Therefore, FOR THIS YEAR ONLY, we are adjusting the film submission requirement to ONE sample of your work, and increasing the number of students allowed in the class to 18.

Prospective students should complete the online application form which includes a place to provide a link your material.  (see below for link)

Submission material doesn’t have to be new; it can be a sample of work from previous film classes.

THE DEADLINE FOR FILM II APPLICATIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED:

FRIDAY, JUNE 26th

If you have questions about the application process, please contact MELINDA TALLIN at m.tallin@uwinnipeg.ca, or call 204-786-9955.
