Alternative Grade Options

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, University of Winnipeg students may choose how their grades will affect their grade point average (GPA) calculation for the Fall 2020 term. If you want to choose an 'alternative grading option' for any of your Fall 2020 courses, you must first consult with an Academic Advisor, by attending our 'Alternative Grading Drop-ins', hosted from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, from January 27th to February 12th (Zoom details have been emailed to students. Contact iirss@uwinnipeg.ca if you did not receive this information).

Academic Advising Virtual Drop-ins

International, Immigrant and Refugee Student Services (IIRSS) is now offering virtual drop-in sessions where students can speak with an Academic Advisor one-on-one, for short (10-minute) meetings. The Zoom waiting room will be enabled. One student will be admitted at a time.

When: Dates and Zoom details are emailed weekly.


Travel, Arrival and Quarantine Protocols

This webinar (held on February 4th) was designed to provide undergraduate students with the following updates:

- Latest immigration updates from IRCC and Province of Manitoba related to student travel and quarantines

- UWinnipeg’s plan to support students in safe and legal travel

- Step by step instructions for travellers on how to safely prepare, travel and arrive in Canada

- Elements of a quarantine plan and option for university-supported quarantines
