SSHRC deadlines and information

Mon. Mar. 30, 2020

With an increase to SSHRCs budget in last year’s federal budget there has never been a better time to think about applying to SSHRC for your research.  If you are thinking about applying and have questions, please feel free to contact the Research Office to chat about the process and support we have on campus for you.

Internally there are a number of successful SSHRC holders who are willing to review your application, sit down and talk to you about the application process, provide tips for preparing the application, etc.  If you are interested in being connected to someone inside – or outside – your department please let us know and we will help facilitate this.  Laura Sokal is our SSHRC Leader on campus and she is here to help you as well.

Externally, SSHRC has some great resources that we encourage you to read before you start writing your application.  They are all found under the Guidelines and Related Support Material section at the bottom of the Insight Grant information page.  Here you will find guidelines for knowledge mobilization, research training, merit review of Indigenous research, along with others.
