Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Consultation Survey

Wed. Aug. 1, 2018

The Board of Directors of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences has launched a review of how best to meet the changing needs of scholars in the humanities and social sciences through the venue of Congress as well as other Federation events.

The Congress Working Group was established by the Federation Board to generate ideas, evaluate new directions, identify emerging opportunities and potential pilot projects, and develop recommendations to strengthen Congress and other events.

Congress is an important opportunity to bring together the humanities and social sciences community in Canada and to amplify the voices of our researchers. As such, the Federation is supported in its work by SSHRC.

Laura Sokal (UWinnipeg SSHRC Leader) is inviting you to provide feedback, particularly from the point of view of your position at the University of Winnipeg, via a quick 4 question survey.  The review is being coordinated by Christine Tausig Ford, formerly of Universities Canada and as interim executive director of the Federation. She would very much welcome your views as an important component of the consultations. Answers generated from the University of Winnipeg community will be shared with her to support the Working Groups' efforts.

You can access the survey at: until Monday, August 27th.  Once the survey closes Laura will consolidate our feedback and send it to the Congress Working Group.
