The University of Winnipeg is committed to assisting our faculty in the pursuit of academic research and knowledge mobilization. Through a variety of internal research grant programs, we support faculty at all stages of their research program. See more below for an overview of the internal research grants and more information on institutional research policies.
The Research Office is currently undertaking a review of the internal research grants and would like your feedback on the proposed changes! At this time, none of these changes have been enacted. An overview of the proposal is available for review, and the summary of feedback from the online survey and two virtual forums is available here.
For some internal grants (Major Research Grants, Travel Grants), the Department Research Committee and Department Chair may be asked to provide an evaluation and sign off on an application. Here are the forms to do so:

To distribute, through timely competitions, those funds made available by The University of Winnipeg and those from sources external to The University of Winnipeg, for peer-adjudicated research grants.
To consider, develop and amend, from time to time, policies for the administration of research at The University of Winnipeg.
