About the Canada Research Chair program

The Canada Research Chairs (CRC) Program is meant to enhance research excellence in Canada in the humanities, social sciences, health sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.

It is a tri-agency initiative of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR).

The research areas for The University of Winnipeg’s CRC allocation are informed by our CRC-CFI (2020-2023) Strategic Research Plan, and summarized on the University of Winnipeg CRC Utilization Spreadsheet

Read about Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the CRC Program, and watch for University of Winnipeg Canada Research Chair Advertisements.
