Practicum Opportunity with Senator McPhedran

Postsecondary students are invited to apply for minimum six months remote practicum placements with Senator Marilou McPhedran's office. Marilou McPhedran is a human rights lawyer, professor and activist recently appointed as an independent senator in the Parliament of Canada by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. She co-founded several internationally recognized non-profit Canadian organizations and is the founding Principal of the University of Winnipeg Global College. She has given extensive voluntary support to civil organizations that focus on peacebuilding and women's rights. Students will have the opportunity to work online on various issues relevant to human rights, youth, and their areas of interest as well as directly with the Senator when she is traveling to Manitoba.
