About the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

Awards will be given to University of Winnipeg students for research, scholarships, or internships in another Commonwealth country for a three to six month period. All Queen Elizabeth Scholars will participate in a range of activities designed to allow them to integrate their academic learning with broader cross-cultural experiences.

The Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships (QES) is managed through a unique partnership of Universities Canada(UnivCan), the Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF), Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) and Canadian universities. This program is made possible with the financial support from the Government of Canada, provincial governments and the private sector.

The University of Winnipeg was awarded a highly competitive grant of $825,000. The grant established the QES program, designed to develop global citizens through enriched academic, professional, and cross-cultural experiences.
