Introductory RDM (Research Data Management)

This workshop, led by Jaime Orr, UWinnipeg's Research Data Management Librarian, introduces RDM, a set of practices that support the management of data throughout the research process. Increasingly, funders and publishers are requiring data management planning, data publication and preservation. This workshop explores best practices for managing your data, from planning, through collection, to storage and sharing. It will focus primarily on how to begin writing a data management plan (DMP), a living document that will save you time, resources and headaches throughout your research project. It will also discuss current and forthcoming funder requirements, and other important legal and ethical considerations.
