This workshop, led by Dr. Tabitha Wood, associate Dean, Faculty of Science, explores the set standards of student conduct that promote and maintain an environment in which academic integrity and fairness is understood and valued, and serves as the basis for student learning, with the intent of maintaining an atmosphere of collegiality at the University that ensures students maintain a the culture of academic integrity upon which the University is built. 

This session will cover the seven areas of academic misconduct that infringe on maintaining academic integrity and, by defining these areas, encourages appropriate student conduct:

  1. Plagiarism
  2. Cheating
  3. Improper Research/Academic Practices
  4. Obstruction of the Academic Activities of Another
  5. Impersonation
  6. Falsification or Unauthorized Modification of an Academic Record
  7. Aiding and Abetting Academic Misconduct
