Patricia Nosal

Patricia Nosal (she/her) completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Winnipeg in 2019, graduating with a double major in Human Rights and Political Science. Her interest in human rights began before university during her time at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate, where she took a global issues course and participated in a study trip to Costa Rica. There, students lived with host families, studied Spanish, and engaged in cultural learning. That experience stayed with her because it showed her early on that learning could extend beyond the classroom and be shaped through people, language, and place.

Having already spent four years at the Collegiate, the University of Winnipeg felt familiar and grounded. She did not begin her degree with a fixed plan, but instead followed what interested her, eventually finding her way into Human Rights. Her background as the child of immigrants also shaped this path, influencing her curiosity about people, culture, and how different environments shape how individuals think and live.
