We invite you to stream the following recordings of live webinars, featuring speakers from academia, community organizations (advocates), and local police services:

  • Second webinar "Confronting Police Violence in Canada: Reforming, Defunding, Abolishing…" live recording (held on FEB. 25, 2021).
  • Third webinar "Policing and Community Relations in Manitoba" live recording (held on May 13, 2021).
  • The final "Racism and Policing in Canada: What's to be done?" webinar live recording (held on Friday, June 18, 2021).

The Critical Dialogues webinar series aimed to encourage conversations on policing in relation to knotty issues such as racism, security, justice, etc. in Canada. A major goal of the series was to enable a space conducive to holding critical dialogues on policing. The aim was to use these kinds of conversations to mobilize awareness and encourage education about policing, human rights, peace, and social justice issues in Canada and beyond.
