Failure To Pay Fees

Fee Information

  • Students are financially and academically responsible for all courses in which they register.
  • In order to avoid charges, courses must be dropped on WebAdvisor in accordance with the WithdrawalSchedule. Not attending classes does not constitute a withdrawal.
  • The University of Winnipeg will not de-register you from current term courses if you fail to pay your fees.
  •  Failure to officially withdraw will result in a grade being assigned to all courses in which you are still enrolled.
  •  Students who fail to pay their course fees may be de-registered from only their Winter Term courses.  All overdue accounts will be placed on HOLD and assessed a $77 late fee.
  •  Students will have the option to re-register in courses (based on availability) once the outstanding balance has been paid.

 Note – Students on HOLD must contact Student Central to withdraw from courses as this function will not be accessible in WebAdvisor.

 Also, financial holds prevent students from:
- Registering for future classes
- Requesting official documents and transcripts
- Receiving official grades
- Graduating

  • The same action may be taken when cheques in payment of student accounts are returned by the bank as non-negotiable, funds not cleared, account closed, etc.
