About:
Hema Krueger Vyas is a queer Gujarati educator who is passionate about health education and creating spaces that work to build healthy communities.
Vyas is a director of Red Tent, an organization that provides anti-oppression education and physical safer spaces to Manitoba festivals, venues, and organizations. Over the past decade, she has worked as a health educator throughout Manitoba with the Teen Talk program, educating youth on topics of sexual health, substance use, mental health, and anti-oppression. She is currently the Human Rights and Sexual Violence Advisor to The University of Winnipeg.
Additionally, Vyas serves on the board of the Women's Health Clinic and Camp Aurora's BIPOC Advisory Team, and is an anti-oppression educator with Diversity Essentials.
