Research Assistants: Who/What/Where/When/Why/How (Skills Share)

Fri. Mar. 13 12:30 PM - Fri. Mar. 13 01:20 PM
Location: 3C25

So you’ve received a grant and want to hire a student. But what will that student do? This professional development session, facilitated by Angela Failler and Doris Wolf, will be an opportunity to share experiences hiring Research Assistants and offer tips and suggestions to one another on different tasks you’ve assigned your RAs. In addition to providing a space to talk through best practices for hiring RAs to support your Cultural Studies research, this session will offer an opening to think about pedagogy outside the classroom.

** This is a skills-share session, so please bring your own examples and or questions to discuss with other participants. **

The CRiCS Professional Development Series is a series of workshops intended for members of the centre (researchers, students in the Cultural Studies MA program, research assistants) to gain new skills in a variety of different professional areas related to Cultural Studies and Cultural Studies research.
