The Harry Daniels Lecture Series began the fall term with a lecture titled, “Digging Up the Roots of Indigenous Sovereignty” presented by Drs. Stan and Peggy Wilson from Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Drs. Stan and Peggy shared their experiences of how their community-based garden in OCN enables local communities to stay healthy and become self-sufficient through self-determined food systems. The lecture was held at Richardson College and was followed by lunch.
