Peer Wellness Educators

Peer Wellness Educators are dedicated to raising awareness around mental health and wellness on campus with the aim of fostering safety and inclusion, building community, and protecting against the stressors and adversity that fellow students may face. They are committed to increasing campus awareness around the 7 dimensions of wellness: social, spiritual, occupational, emotional, physical, environmental, and intellectual.

Peer Wellness Educators participate in the promotion of mental health and wellness education on campus through planning and participating in outreach initiatives throughout the year. They share information and resources, promote healthy and informed choice, and encourage The University of Winnipeg community to engage in positive behaviours when faced with difficulties and individual challenges.

  • Are interested in gaining more information about your health (i.e. mental, physical, sexual health) and general well-being

  • Would like help navigating resources and supports both on and off campus
