On April 6th, MDP students Gabriela Jimenez and Stephen Penner, joined other UWinnipeg graduate students from Applied Computer Science, Bioscience and Indigenous Governance to present their research at the 3rd Annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) is an academic competition developed by The University of Queensland, Australia which challenges graduate students to communicate their research and its significance in just three minutes to a non-specialist audience.

Gabriela spoke on “Indigenous Participation in Water Governance to Improve Access to Drinking Water: A Case Study from Warao Peoples in Venezuela.”

Stephen shared his work on “Gathering Circles Farm to Table Co-op: A Case Study in Small Scale Indigenous Economic Development.”

Well done Gabriela and Stephen!
