Dr. Heather Igloliorte, an Inuk curator and art historian from Nunatsiavut, holds an University Research Chair in Indigenous Art History and Community Engagement at Concordia University in Montreal, where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History. Her research and curatorial practices center on Inuit and other cicumpolar arts, Native North American visual and material culture, performance and new media art, the global exhibition of Indigenous arts and culture, and issues of colonization, sovereignty, resistance and resurgence.
