Two esteemed Indigenous Scholars reflect on "Indigenizing the Academy"

Dr. Marie Battiste
Mi’kmaq from Unama’kik (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)
She holds degrees from Harvard (Ed.M.) and Stanford (Ed.D.) and is a professor in the Department of Educational Foundations, and Academic Director of the Aboriginal
Education Research Centre, at the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Sákéj Henderson
Chickasaw from Oklahoma (Born to the Bear Clan of the Chickasaw Nation and Cheyenne Tribe)
He obtained a Juris doctorate in law from Harvard University and is Research Director of the University of Saskatchewan Native Law Centre.
