Isabela Dueck

Isabela Dueck is an instructor for the University of Winnipeg Collegiate and teaches Introduction to Women and Gender Studies. She is a third wave gender studies enthusiast, integrating elements of cultural studies, epistemology and media studies. “Identity” and “ideology” are favourite themes. Her work in gender studies is documented in the Manitoba Department of Education Global Issues Curriculum Document (2012). Isabela ‘s students comment on her media savvy lessons and cutting-edge, yet accessible lectures. Having decades of experience teaching high school humanities allows her the vision and patience to help her students to bridge the gap between high school and university.
