First year left side Ariel Smith led the Wesmen with 11 kills. Second year middle Lauren Sears finished with nine kills and Christie Nairn had eight kills. First year setter Amanda Bakker had 20 set assists in her first CIS match.
Calgary def WESMEN 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-15)
Leah Brezinski and Marlee Bragg led Winnipeg with seven kills each.

The Wesmen started day two of the tournament on a good note winning the first set but were unable to carry the momentum the rest of the match. Christie Nairn led Winnipeg with 15 kills. Lauren Sears had seven kills. First year left side Ariel Smith had a strong match collecting 12 defensive digs and three blocks.
Semi Final Round - Saskatchewan def WESMEN 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-23)
Ariel Smith led Winnipeg with eight kills followed by Marlee Bragg with seven.

Wesmen finish the three day tourament in eighth place. "Overall it was a positive weekend, but we still have work to do", said Head Coach Diane Scott.
