MEN'S BASKETBALL

The men’s basketball team hit the court for game action for the first time in the 2008-09 season last Wednesday at the annual intersquad game. The game was highly competitive as both teams went all out to put on a great show for the parents, boosters and of course Head Coach Dave Crook. The team will next see action this coming Thursday night at the Duckworth Centre in the annual Alumni Game.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Head Coach Tanya McKay had a first hand look at her team at last week’s intersquad game. This year’s team is a veteran group who are expected to do great things in the Canada West Conference this season. The team will take on some former Wesmen greats in the annual Alumni game on Thursday night at the Duckworth Centre.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Diane Scott and her team will take on former greats in the annual Alumni match this Wednesday night. The women’s team will then travel to Regina to compete in the University of Regina Invitational Tournament. The eight team tournament will feature teams from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Brandon, Regina, Alberta, Calgary, Simon Fraser and Saskatchewan. Complete results will be available at www.wesmen.ca

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Head Coach Larry McKay has declared his roster for the upcoming 2008-09 season. The team will feature a core group of five veterans who will be expected to lead the team both on and off the court. The remaining players on the team will be entering either their first or second season of university level volleyball. The team will take part in the annual Alumni match on Wednesday night at the Duckworth Centre.
