MATT DUECK TO JOIN MEN’S VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM
Tuesday, April 1, 2008 – University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men’s Volleyball Head Coach Larry McKay is pleased to announce the commitment of Matt Dueck to the Men’s Volleyball Program for the start of the 2008-09 season in September.
Dueck, comes to the Wesmen from the excellent volleyball program at Dakota Collegiate, where he was coached by Phil Hudson.
“I am very excited to be joining the Wesmen program, and I am looking forward to be playing for Coach McKay”, said Dueck.
The 6’5” right side is a multi sport talent excelling in both volleyball and basketball at Dakota. Dueck was named to the All-Star Team at the BIG SPIKE Volleyball Tournament this past October and earned a spot on the MHSAA Provincial All-Star Basketball Team this past March.
An honor roll student in grade 12, Dueck is looking to enter the field of Education at the University of Winnipeg.
“Matt is a multi sport talent who comes from a strong program at Dakota led by Phil Hudson, it feels good that he is coming to the University of Winnipeg”, said Head Coach Larry McKay.
