MEN’S VOLLEYBALL ADD KENNY MCKENZIE TO 2009-2010 ROSTER
Thursday, March 19, 2009 – Another local talent will join the University of Winnipeg Wesmen. Head Coach Larry McKay is pleased to announce that Kenny McKenzie from Vincent Massey Collegiate has committed to joining the Men’s Volleyball program this September for the beginning of the 2009-2010 season.
An Honours student at Vincent Massey Collegiate here in Winnipeg, McKenzie is a 6’5” middle player who will be graduating this spring.
McKenzie has been a co-captain on the Trojans team for the past two seasons and has been a pivotal player for the team. He has been selected onto the Manitoba Men’s Provincial Volleyball team for the past three seasons and was named a Manitoba Volleyball Association Graduating All-Star in 2008.
"Kenny is a dynamic middle player who has the athletic ability to succeed at the university level. Along with Matt Schriemer and Devin Schmidt, Kenny is another strong Manitoba athlete we are pleased has selected our university and volleyball program”, added Wesmen Head Coach Larry McKay.
