Kaelyn’s consistent play earned her multiple Player of the Game awards at this year’s championship. Her coach at Green Valley was Doris Wiens (Weibe), a former University of Winnipeg Women’s Volleyball player, was a member of the Wesmen team that captured the CIAU Championship in 1983-1984.

A multisport athlete, Gauthier participated in swimming, track and field, beach volleyball and ringette where she was an assistant captain of Team Manitoba that finished in fourth place at this past April’s National Championships in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

An accomplished high school student with a GPA of 86%, Kaelyn has received numerous awards and honors, including being on the honor roll since grade seven. She plans on striving for a degree in Athletic Therapy at the University of Winnipeg.

“We are so proud and pleased for Kaelyn to have this opportunity with the University of Winnipeg. She is a great person and will work so hard to improve. It is very exciting for our school and community”, added Green Valley Head Coach Doris Wiens.
