Duckworth Centre Rules & Regulations

To ensure, that the facility remains a safe and friendly environment for all of our valued members please review the following:

•  Members must be a minimum of 14 years to enter the Fitness Centre.
• Appropriate clean gym attire (shirt, pants or shorts) and footwear is mandatory for all activities within the Duckworth Centre. Jeans, open toe shoes, work or hiking boots are not allowed.
• Please refrain from using perfumes/colognes and heavy scents.
• Please use lockers for coats and bags. Gym bags, jackets, outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Fitness Centre.
• Lockers are available for rent in the changing rooms.
• If you have your own lock you are welcome to use one of the open lockers on the main floor located by the racquetball courts.
• The use of loud noises and/or profanity is strictly prohibited
• Show respect for equipment, facilities, and personnel at all times.

 Food and Drink

• No food or drink (other than sport drinks or water) may be consumed while using the Fitness Centre, no glass containers please.
• All sport drink or water containers must be made of plastic.

 
Equipment Usage

• Please spray and wipe equipment after use with cleaner and towels provided.
• Use equipment only for its intended function. Stepping on benches will not be permitted.
• Please return plates, bars and free weights to their proper storage place. Do not leave plates on bars when finished.
• The use of chalk on any weights is strictly prohibited.
• Equipment is NOT to be moved or removed from the fitness centre.
• Use of collars on barbells is mandatory at all times.
• Do not drop or throw weights. Misuse of equipment may result in immediate expulsion.

 Cardiovascular Equipment

• There is a 30-minute time limit on all cardio machines when another member is waiting.

Personal Training

• Outside Personal Trainers are not allowed. Trainers are available through the Duckworth Centre.

LOCKERS

• Members who rent lockers please keep in mind that your locker expires the same day as your membership. These lockers are in demand and if not renewed before the expiry date will be cleared and resold.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS

• Your membership card is a smart card that will be used to access areas of the facility.
• Lost or broken cards will have a $10.00 replacement fee.

TOWEL TOKENS

• When you purchase a locker or towel service you will receive at no additional charge a token.
• Towel Tokens must be used to receive your towel each time you come to use facilities at the Duckworth Centre.
• If lost, tokens can be replaced for $5.00.
