LEA MARC PRINTING ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 – The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with Lea Marc Printing are pleased to announce that Men’s Volleyball Player Justin Duff and Women’s Volleyball Player
Ariel Smith have been chosen as the Lea Marc Printing Wesmen Athletes of the Month for January, 2010.


 
Justin Duff, men’s volleyball,

•    Team leader in kills in three of four matches played
•    61 kills (four matches)
•    19 digs
•    17 blocks, three service aces
•    Named University of Winnipeg Wesmen Male Player of the Week for the period of (January 18-24, 2010)
•    Canada West leader in hitting percentage (.472), 4th in kills (3.51 kpg), 4th in points (4.42 ppg) and 10th in service aces (12-0.23 apm)

 Ariel Smith, women’s volleyball

•    Team leader in kills in three matches
•    85 kills (six matches)
•    67 digs, three blocks
•    Named University of Winnipeg Wesmen Female Player of the Week for the period of (January 18-24, 2010)
•    Leads team in kills (164) and points (178) and third in digs (181)
