"We are excited to have Brayden commit to the Wesmen. He is an outstanding student, a proven winner and a strong athlete who will help us grow as a program in the years to come, said Wesmen Head Coach Dave Crook.
Duff, a 64 forward played a vital role in helping the Garden City Fighting Gophers win back to back Provincial AAAA High School Basketball Championships (2007-08, 2008-09). He was honored with the Players Choice Award at this years championship and was named a tournament all-star in 2007-08 and 2008-09. He was also a member of the 17U Provincial Team in 2008. Brayden was a member of the Fighting Gopher squad that captured back to back Wesmen Classic High School titles (2007, 2008) and was a member of the Jr.Wesmen team in 2006-07 and played in two American Athletic Union tournaments in Minneapolis and the main event in Las Vegas.
The Duff name is a familiar one to the Wesmen family as his older brother Justin recently completed his third season with the Mens Volleyball Team.
"It's always great when out-standing student athletes stay home, it will be doubly enjoyable for the Duff family to have Brayden join older brother Justin as Wesmen athletes, added Dave Crook.
