University of Winnipeg Retirees Association (UWRA)
Pension Trustees
The University of Winnipeg Retirees Association UWRA is entitled to appoint two Association representatives to serve as Trustees on the University of Winnipeg Pension Trusteed Board. Each year, UWRA solicits nominations from all pensioners and, if an election is needed, the names of the candidates will appear on a secret ballot. Each Pension Trustee shall serve a two-year renewable term, commencing July 1st.
The Board of Trustees undertakes the administrative responsibilities of the University of Winnipeg Trusteed Pension Plan... each trustee understands and takes seriously the fiduciary duty they have to administer the Pension Plan prudently and in the best interest of the Pension Plan and all Plan Members and beneficiaries. A Newsletter is published annually by the Trusteed Board to bring Pension Plan Members up to date on their activities.
